i guess the world, and especially the u.s., is really back to normal, ie focusing on trivial bs. this week george w was forced to basically admit that the whole weapons of mass destruction thing in iraq was a lie. that his government has spent billions of dollars, killed more than 10,000 iraq civilians as well as nearly 600 american troops (and counting), alienated itself from canada and other friends around the world, for no reason at all. and what are americans up in arms about? janet jackson's boob at the superbowl. that figures.

nevermind the fact that the nfl/cbs/mtv/jj/etc are all busy apologizing for the 'crude and unacceptable' split-second incident at such a wholesome event (you'd only have caught the incident if you had flipped over from watching the halftime special lingere bowl), where's george w's apology?
